Questions & Answers
What services does Smith’s Striping & Sealing LLC offer?
We are a full-service asphalt contracting business. Our expertise includes asphalt sealcoating to enhance surface durability and appearance, precision line striping for parking lots and driveways, professional crack-filling, full asphalt paving, and gravel delivery.
How long has your business been serving the community?
We are a family-owned business established in 2017. We began with a simple bucket and brush and have since grown into a comprehensive asphalt maintenance operation dedicated to serving Eastern Kentucky.
Do you provide free estimates?
Yes. We are committed to transparency and affordability, which is why we offer free estimates to all potential clients to ensure you know exactly what to expect before we begin.
Do you offer any special discounts?
We proudly honor those who have served. We offer exclusive discounts for veterans as a token of our appreciation for their service.
What areas do you serve?
We primarily serve the Eastern Kentucky region, including Pikeville and Pike County. Our service area also extends to Floyd, Martin, Johnson, Magoffin, Knott, Letcher, Leslie, and Perry Counties.
How long should I wait before driving on my newly sealed driveway?
Plan for the surface to be closed to vehicles while the sealer cures. The required time depends on the product, weather, shade and site conditions. Ask for the reopening time for your specific project and follow the crew?s instructions rather than judging by whether the surface feels dry.
How often does my asphalt need to be sealcoated?
The interval depends on traffic, weather, the previous coating and pavement condition. Have the surface assessed before scheduling another coat; cracks, potholes or drainage problems may require other work first. More frequent coating is not always better.
What is the best time of year to schedule my project?
Sealcoating needs suitable temperatures and dry weather throughout application and curing. Spring through early fall can provide workable conditions in Kentucky, but the forecast and the selected product?s instructions determine the actual schedule. Contact us to discuss your project and timing.
